Vishwaraj Bastola of Pokhara Metropolitan City-25 has been honored with the American President's Gold Medal Award. He was honored with the award for his blood donation program and various humanitarian contributions to the Nepalese and American society in the New York state of America during the Corona epidemic.
In the certificate of honor signed by US President Joe Biden, it is mentioned that the country has valued the humanitarian services rendered by Bastola during the disaster in the United States. The award and certificate was given by Amrit Bahadur Rai, Nepal's permanent representative to the US, at a program held in New York to mark the completion of 75 years of Nepal-US relations. Born in Hemja in 2028, Bastola followed his father's social work and was active in the social and political field since childhood. Active in the Nepal Student Union since 2044, he was an active participant in the 2062-63 movement along with the 2046 public movement.
He became a member and secretary of Kaski Teacher's Association and became a member of the Central Committee and became the principal of Ambika Secondary School and Srijan Bahira Residential High School. Society, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Lions Club and other dozens of social organizations and has been in a leadership role.
