The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has recommended the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) postpone all the scheduled academic examinations in view of the surge of coronavirus infection.
State Minister for the MoHP Umesh Shrestha took to Twitter to inform that the Education Ministry and the CCMC have been recommended to pit off the examinations.
कोभिड–१९ संक्रमण फैलदैं गएको विद्यमान परिस्थितिमा ४ लाख विद्यार्थीको जीवनरक्षाप्रति हामी अत्यन्त संवेदनशील छौं। स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्रालयले निकट भविष्यमा हुन लागेका सबै परीक्षा स्थगन गर्न शिक्षा मन्त्रालय र कोभिड–१९ संकट व्यवस्थापन केन्द्रलाई सिफारिश गरेको जानकारी गराउँछु।

Sate Minister Shrestha wrote, "We are extremely sensitive to saving the lives of 400,000 students in the current situation where the COVID-19 infection is spreading. I would like to inform that the Ministry of Health and Population has recommended the Education Ministry and COVID-19 Crisis Management Center postpone all the upcoming examinations.
Earlier, the Office of the Controller of Examinations under the National Examinations Board (NEB) issued a schedule for the examinations that will take place from August 15 to 25.
