Excavator buried in landslide

An excavator has been buried by a dry landslide on the Dang-Salyan road section. Excavator operator Himnath Yogi sustained minor injuries.

A dry landslide had occured at around 7.30 pm in the process of widening the road near Kapurkot-3 Chorkhola in Salyan district. DSP Sumit Khadka informed that the road section is now completely closed. We are facing a problem removing the excavator and avoiding the landslide, said the police.

Efforts are being made to remove the landslide by bringing another excavator from Dang. Police have estimated that the road will be operational by this afternoon.
