Property worth Rs 1.5 million was gutted in a house fire in Tapli Rural Municipality-4 of Udayapur district, on Sunday evening.
A house belonging to Hira Tamang was engulfed in flame at Thanagaun.
According to the Udayapur District Police Office, the fire that spread from the shed on Sunday had also damaged the house of Tamang. The fire destroyed both the house and shed along with clothes, grains and cash Rs 35,000, shared chief of the DPO, Bhim Prasad Dahal.
Locals and police from Tapli Rupatar jointly doused the fire.
Police are yet to establish the cause of the inferno.
