A girl was killed in a road accident on Tuesday evening in Thade area of Pasanglamu Highway. The deceased has been identified as Naina Ghale, aged 4.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Devendra Pandey, she was hit by a Tata Sumo (Na 1 Ja 6176) heading towards Dhunche from Kathmandu while walking on the highway. Urja Ghale, 30, and Karan Ghale, 8, of Gosainkunda VDC-6 have been seriously injured in the collision. The injured are undergoing treatment at Green City Hospital in Dhapasi, Kathmandu.
The jeep carrying four passengers hit the pedestrians and fell about 50 meters below the highway. The injured have been identified as driver Chiring Dorje Tamang, 30, of Amachodingmo VDC-5, Brajam and Nimadorje Tamang, 31, of Gregaun, Ward no. 2.
