Post-earthquake reconstruction has reached its final stage in Gorkha district which was most affected by the earthquake of 2072 BS. After addressing the grievances, out of the total 91,007 beneficiaries, 89,353 have taken the first installment by signing an agreement, said Santosh Niraula, Acting Project Chief of the District Project Implementation Unit (Building) of the Reconstruction Authority.
He said that 85,908 out of those who have signed the agreement have already done DBC with the second installment and 94 percent have taken the third installment. NEA has stated that six percent is yet to receive the third installment.
He said that community buildings, roads, electricity, drinking water have been provided in all the settlements.
Only 17 government buildings in the district have been completed. Some out of the 35 health institutions have been completed and most are under construction. The health institution of Baruwa, Sane Siruwari has been handed over and Bansbari is in the final stage.
