Landslide update: Death toll rises, 88 dead

88 people have died in landslides and floods due to the continuous rain. The death toll from the natural disaster was 78 on Wednesday according to police.

The continuous rains caused the most damage in the eastern part of the country when the rain moved east through the far west yesterday.

The death toll across the nation:

  •  Panchthar: 27
  • Ilam: 13
  • Dhankuta: 7
  • Udaipur: 2
  • Morang: 1
  • Bajhang: 6
  • Humla: 6
  • Doti: 5
  • Kapilvastu: 1
  • Pyuthan: 1
  • Dadeldhura: 1
  • Baitadi: 1
  • Kailalim: 1
