The report for Language Commission has been submitted to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
The annual report of the Language Commission for the financial year 2078/079, was submitted today. According to Sagar Acharya, spokesperson of the President's Office, President Awasthi submitted the report according to the Language Commission Act, 2074.
It is informed that the report mentions all of the languages are included as national languages. The commission has recommended 11 languages to be used for official government works. Emphasis was given regarding the federal affiliation to the recommended language and the respect for it.
According to the intention of the constitution and the law, more importance should be given to imparting education in the national languages, but instead, it is active towards expanding English medium education, as mentioned in the report.
