KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that Nepal’s current weather is being affected by westerly and local wind systems, along with moisture-rich air flowing in from the Arabian Sea.
As a result, most parts of the country are witnessing partly to generally cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, has been observed in several areas of Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.
For this afternoon, hilly regions are forecast to remain mostly cloudy, while other parts of the country will see partly cloudy conditions.
There is also a likelihood of light rain with thunder and lightning in parts of the hilly terrain, along with a chance of light rain or snowfall in some high-hill and mountainous locations.
Tonight, the weather in the hills will stay partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country is expected to experience mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. A few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Koshi provinces may receive light rain with thunder and lightning.
