Man arrested on charge of killing wife in Parbat

A man has been arrested on charge of killing his wife from Bihadi Rural Municipality-1 in Parbat district on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Lal Bahadur Sarki, a local resident of Kiudada in the district.

The deceased has been revealed as Tara Nepali (36).

According to police, Nepali was bitten by a snake while working on a field on June 18 but instead of taking his wife to a hospital for treatment, Sarki hit her with a spade which led to her death on Monday.

The accused had even dug a hole in his house to bury his wife, the police informed.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed the from Parbat-based District Police Office nabbed the accused.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed DPO, Parbat.
