Arrangements are in place for making money offerings to the Muktinath Temple in Mustang district via a digital system.
Prabhu Bank has ensured the QR code service to deposit the offering through a banking system.
With the availability of the online facilities to donate money to the temple, devotees now have digital networking which is easier to use for making monetary offerings.
The bank and Fone Pay, a mobile payment facility, have joined hands to launch the service, according to Bank Gandaki Province chief Raju Rana.
The service is expected to contribute to increasing the lifespan of banknotes.
