The District Traffic Police Office of Kailali has started a campaign to remove modified motorcycle silencers to eliminate noise pollution. Actions have been taken against the motorcyclists who have changed their muffler's appearance and started revving the engines loudly.
According to District Traffic Police Office Inspector Wakil Singh, actions have been taken against 32 motorcyclists so far. The silencers of their motorcycles have also been changed. "Even though there is a rule that the parts of the vehicle cannot be used against the company's standards, it has been found that this is being done," he said.
According to Singh, drivers with modified silencers in the motorcycles have been reprimanded. The work of reprimanding and taking action has started simultaneously. The office has also requested all to not change the shape of the vehicle parts against the company's standards.
