The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has urged the beneficiaries to obtain the remaining instalment of their reconstruction grant within mid-November this year.
Those who have not inked agreement with the NRA for grant assistance of Rs 300,000 to be provided in three instalments or those entering agreement with the NRA but not been able to get any instalments of grant assistance have been urged again to prompt into action to get their quake-damaged houses rebuilt, the NRA said.
All the beneficiaries have been asked to do the necessary paperwork within the stipulated time to receive the grant. The District Project Implementation Unit will facilitate the beneficiaries in their paperwork and further procedures.
Likewise, the NRA’s recent meeting has also urged the residents at natural disasters-prone areas, and landless quake survivors who have not been able to purchase land to rebuild houses, to do the paperwork within mid-September this year. The beneficiaries completing all the paperwork shall secure all three tranches of grant assistance within mid-November.
The meeting of the NRA’s Director Committee convened on June 24 in the chairmanship of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli decided on the deadline for the reconstruction grant not to further extend the reconstruction process.
