Hong Kong chapter of the Non-Resident Nepalis' Association (NRNA) has provided two oxygen concentrators to Sardikhola Health Post of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-2 in Kaski.
Two oxygen concentrators of 10-litre capacity were provided to the health post for facilitating it to manage the treatment of the COVID-19 patients.
Hong Kong chapter chair of NRNA, Radhika Gurung (Tika), took special initiative to ensure assistance. The oxygen concentrators were handed over to ward chair Bikram Gurung, who is also the chair of Sardikhola Health Post management committee. The health post has been providing primary treatment to COVID-19 patients by establishing a 10-bed isolation centre.
Meanwhile, the health post in-charge Anita Ghimire informed that six of 30 COVID-19 patients admitted in the isolation centre were referred to Pokhara and the remaining ones got recovery. Similarly, two infected women underwent delivery in isolation. So far, ward no 2 of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality has recorded 202 cases of coronavirus infection so far.
Handing over the oxygen concentrator, social worker Nanda Kumari Gurung reminded that NRNA Hong Kong chapter chair Radhika Gurung sent the medical assistance to her birthplace.
