Over 171,000 people inoculated; first phase of vaccination to conclude Saturday

A total of 171, 486 individuals from various parts of the country have been administered ‘Covishield’ vaccine so far.

As per the press release issued by the Ministry of Health and Population, the vaccine was administered from altogether 201 vaccination centre across the country. 

The vaccination drive against the COVID-19 started in the country from January 27 on a priority basis.  

As many as 230,082 individuals were vaccinated in Province 1; 22,753 in Province 2; 59,942 in Bagmati Province; 17,315 in Gandaki Province; 26,898 in Lumbini Province; 8,648 in Karnali Province and 12,809 in Sudurpaschim Province as of 4:00 pm on Friday. The first phase of the vaccination drive will conclude on Saturday. 

The second phase of the vaccination drive will be continued soon the statement read.
