Society of Democratic Thoughts has drawn the attention of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to the contemporary issues, including livelihood.
The society team comprising chairperson Kedar Narsing KC, senior vice-chairperson Kulchandra Wagle and general secretary Gokarna Aryal met with PM Deuba on Saturday. They drew PM Deuba's attention to the prevention of coronavirus infection, people's access to anti-COVID vaccines, and relief distribution to the disaster survivors.
They submitted a memorandum to the PM on the issues relating to complex politics and the challenging economy. They demanded that this government correct the arbitrary decisions of the previous government which eroded the atmosphere of rule of law, good governance, and transparency. The Society also hoped that PM Deuba's able leadership would bring the derailed politics back on track and propped up the economy.
The Society believed that the coalition government would be successful to resolve the current problems and make the national politics tolerant and accommodative. The atmosphere of consensus, collaboration and coordination would be augmented by the government, the Society further hoped.
