Preparations for the eighth session of the National Assembly have been completed. The session has been scheduled for 4 pm on Thursday. The Secretariat of the Federal parliament has informed that all necessary preparations for the session of the National Assembly have been completed.
Dashrath Dhamala, Deputy Spokesperson of the Parliament Secretariat, informed the session will hold discussions on the 19 Bills that have been forwarded to the assembly. He also mentioned that the proposals submitted by the various committees of the assembly and letters forwarded by the constitutional bodies will also be presented during the session.
Dhamala informed that as per the rules the Bills will first be presented during the eighth session of the National Assembly. He also said antigen tests have been taken for all the members who will be participating in the session. Antigen tests for the coronavirus have also been taken for all media persons, security personnel and staff of the Secretariat who will be present during the session.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had called for a session of the National Assembly on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on June 24.
