Second dose of Chinese vaccine to be administered from July 6

The second dose of the Vero Cell vaccine that was provided by the Chinese government the second time will be administered to those who have taken the first dose of the vaccine from July 6.

The government had provided the first dose of the Vero Cell vaccine to citizens between the ages of 60 and 64 from June 8 to 12 across the country. Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam, Head of the Vaccine Department of the Department of Health Services, informed that 3.7 lakh people who have received the first dose will be administered the second dose from July 6.

Dr Gautam also mentioned that people of other age groups who have already received the first dose of Vero Cell vaccine but missed the second dose will be allowed to take the second dose this time. However, he stated that those coming for the second dose must furnish the card that was provided after being administered the first dose.
