SWC asks I/NGOs to allocate fund to combat against COVID-19

The Social Welfare Council (SWC) has directed the non-governmental and international non-government organisations (NGOs/INGOs) working in the field of social sector to provide a certain amount for the prevention and control of COVID-19 from their ongoing projects.

The SWC urged such organisations to provide support to the government prioritised areas fixed by the Ministry of Health and Population after shifting the budget from the approved projects from the Council. I/NGOs now could provide health-related equipment.

The organizations operating the project up to Rs 50 million could provide their 20 per cent of the total budget, projects having a budget of Rs 100 million could provide up to 15 per cent, projects having Rs 250 million could provide their 10 per cent and organization operating project of Rs 500 million could provide seven per cent of their budget.

Similarly, organizations running project of more than Rs 500 million could provide five per cent of their budget.
