More than 4,000 animals have been treated at a free livestock camp in Nisdi village of Palpa district. A total of 4,217 animals from 160 households were treated at the camp at Nisdi-2 Sahalkot on Monday, said Animal Branch Coordinator Om Bahadur Mashrangi.

A few days ago, an unknown disease had spread in the animals here. According to the branch coordinator Mashrangi, the animals showed symptoms such as hair loss, fever and not eating food. The camp was organized by Nisdi Village Municipality and co-organized by Jaldevi Social Entrepreneur Women's Cooperative Sahalkot.

Dr. Chandra Bahadur Rana, chief of the Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Center, Palpa, said that the health of the animals could be improved by using the medicines obtained free of cost from the camp.
