Two persons died after the motorcycle they were riding on collided-head on with a truck in Dhunibesi Municipality of Dhading district today.
The deceased have been identified as Balaram Adhikari (60) and his son Suresh Adhikari (30), residents of Nilkantha Municipality-5 of Dhading district.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahendra Khadka at Dhading District Police Office (DPO), the truck heading towards Dhading from Kathmandu rammed the motorcycle (State 3-02-009 Pa 8230) killing its riders at Khanikhola today.
The motorcycle had caught fire after the incident occurred.
Critically injured in the incident, the riders duo breathed their last on the way to a health institution, said SP Khadka.
According to witness, the incident occurred as the two-wheeler overtook a vehicle in front of them along the Prithvi Highway.
