The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the people going abroad to submit the required documents to get the electronic vaccination certificate with QR code.
The government started issuing the electronic vaccination certificate from Thursday to facilitate those travelling abroad with the assurance of full vaccination.
MoHP officials informed, “We have decided to run an electronic vaccination certificate with QR code as numbers of people going abroad have been facing immigration problems owing to the unavailability of proof whether one has been vaccinated.”
Many countries have made it mandatory for the arriving travellers to produce electronic vaccination certificates issued by the authorities in their home country. “Those staying in the country may fill in the form to get the e-vaccination certificate, but it is not compulsory for them to do so,” the MoHP officials said.
The MoHP has yet to collect data on how many people submitted for the electronic certificate.
To get the electronic certificate online, the applicants can visit the website and fill in the form and submit the details and required documents.
Likewise, those who are unable to register online can visit the National Research and Training Centre, Kirtipur, and submit their documents to get the certificate.
The forms can also be downloaded and printed and delivered to the National Research and Training Centre.
The applicants have to submit documents such as an original passport, original vaccination card, a recent passport-size photograph, photocopy of passport and vaccination card.
