Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the responsibility of developing the country has fallen on the shoulders of the youth. He said that the youths have an important role to play in the development of the country.
"Young people affiliated with the JCIS can say that they are not affiliated with any political party, but they cannot say that they are out of politics," he said. General Secretary Thapa clarified that the JCIS has the support of all parties. He said that it was important for the JCIS to educate the youth about 'liberal democracy'.
Aruneshwar Khanal, the outgoing chairman of the Nepal JCIS, said that more than 10,000 youths have been affiliated to the Nepal JCIS in about 200 organizations across the country. Senator Lal Mani Bhandari, Chairman for Nepal JCIS 2022, took office. A new 21-member working committee has been selected for a one-year term.
