The CPN (Maoist Centre) is likely to appoint Janardhan Sharma and Pampha Bhusal as ministers in newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s Cabinet.

Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has forwarded the names of the aforementioned leaders of the party to be appointed as ministers, according to party sources. Sharma’s name has been recommended for the post of Minister of Finance whereas Bhusal has been recommended for the post of Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Meanwhile, the Standing Committee meeting of the party held this morning had not decided to recommend any names to the Cabinet. There was an understanding that names would be forwarded only after Chairperson Dahal held talks with Deuba on the matter.
