The CPN UML has directed its lawmakers to refrain from voting in favour of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the president of Nepali Congress. PM Deuba will be facing the vote of confidence at the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
The Standing Committee meeting of the CPN UML held today has directed its parliamentarians to vote against Deuba.
After the Standing Committee meeting, Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Gyawali mentioned that those lawmakers who vote in favour of Deuba will be expelled from the party. He also stated the meeting had come to a conclusion that Deuba was in a hurry to take the vote of confidence so as to create a wedge between the lawmakers of CPN UML.
