Law practitioners have demanded the resignation of the Home Minister in protest against the deployment of riot police in the Supreme Court premises and the use of force in peaceful protests. During the protest on Sunday, Nepal Bar Association Vice President Ishwori Bhattarai shouted slogans demanding the resignation of the Home Minister.
Twelve people, including Nepal Bar Association president Chandeshwor Shrestha, were injured when police used force during a protest on November 18.
Law practitioners, who had been holding a demonstration at Supreme Court premises, held a corner meeting at the on Sunday again.
