Nepal in meeting with Deuba and Prachanda

A meeting is being held between Madhav Kumar Nepal, senior leader of CPN UML, Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of Nepali Congress, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.

Nepal has rejected the six-point proposal that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also chairperson of CPN UML, had put forward to the Nepal faction to maintain unity within the party and is meeting Deuba and Prachanda. Earlier today, Prachanda had held separate meetings with Nepal and Deuba.

According to Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Spokesperson of CPN (Maoist Centre), discussions are being held on the formation of the Council of Ministers of Province 2 and PM Oli’s proposal to Nepal faction.
