Supreme Court's order upholds constitution, judiciary: Dahal

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the Supreme Court's order to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR) is an important event in history.

Reacting to the Supreme Court's decision, CPN MC chair Dahal termed it a victory for Nepal and the Nepali people. He said that the court's decision upheld the dignity of the constitution and the nation.

CPN MC Chair said, “The protection of the constitution, democratic values ​​and the national interest had become necessary. Therefore, I welcome the apex court's decision."

On the occasion, Dahal, on behalf of the party and the opposition coalition extended his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the Supreme Court, Chief Justice and other judges. He expressed his view that the court upheld the dignity of the constitution, the nation and the judiciary.

He opined that people were overwhelmed by the repeated dissolution of the parliament and attacks on the constitution.

CPN MC chair Dahal viewed the court's verdict as a victory for the general public and said history will honour it.
