Nepali para taekwondo player Palesha Gobardhan succeeded in getting selected for the upcoming Paris 2024 Para Olympic Games. She has confirmed her place in the upcoming ParaOlympic Games after winning the ParaOlympic selection competition held in China. She is the first Nepalese athlete to be selected by competing in Para Olympics.
Taekwondo players Sangina Baidhya in 2004 and Deepak Bista in 2008 were selected based on competition in the Olympics.
Palesha Gobardhan won a silver medal for Nepal for the first time in the Para Asian Games in China. She also competed in the Para Olympics in Japan. Her coach Kabiraj Negi Lama has been training Palesha since the past.
Palesha is currently studying engineering in China.
