The board meeting of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is scheduled to be held in Bhairahawa on January 27. Prashant Bikram Malla, acting secretary of CAN, informed that the Bhairahawa board meeting has been decided.
The board meeting will discuss various issues including setting the date of CAN's general meeting. According to Malla, the general meeting of CAN will also discuss the agreement reached between the players and CAN on the central contract.
Earlier, CAN had decided to hold a general meeting in Dhangadhi on January 8 and 9. But six CAN members said the 20-district association had expired and that it was illegal to hold a general assembly without holding elections in those districts. CAN then adjourned the general Assembly for the time being.
As the election of all the 20 district associations has been completed, CAN is now preparing to set a new date for the general meeting.
