KATHMANDU: Newly appointed eight board members of the National Sports Council (NSC) took oath of office and secretary today.
At a programme organized at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Singha Durbar, Minister Teju Lal Chaudhary administered oath of office and secrecy to them.
Those taking oath are Shant Kumari Chaudhary (Jhapa), Ananda Kumar Jha (Saptari), Subarna Shrestha (Lalitpur), Kamal Bahadur Bhattarai (Sarlahi), Himal Kumar Shrestha (Gulmi), Nanda Basyal (Surkhet), Jagat Singh Dhami (Darchula) and Bhan Bahadur Chand (Kanchanpur).
Congratulating all the appointed members, Minister Chaudhary urged them to perform well during their four-year term.
A cabinet meeting held on December 24, 2024, had decided to appoint them to the vacant posts of the Council.
