The Summer Olympics have started in Paris, the capital of France. Yesterday, the opening ceremony of the Olympics was completed amid grand ceremonies. On that occasion, the participating countries took part in the march past. Nepal participated in the march past in which participating players and officials participated. Nepal has sent 7 players in 6 games this year. Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since 1964. But so far not a single medal has been won.
Nepalese table tennis player Santu Shrestha and badminton player Prince Dahal are playing their first match in the Paris Olympics today. Santu will compete with Senegal's Ibrahima Diaw. Badminton player Prince will face world number two Denmark's Viktor Axelsen in the first match.
