Three Taekwondo players from Nepal, Sanjeev Nepali, Sandipa Amgain and Prem Kumar Darnal won gold medal in the DG Asian Taekwondo Open Online Poomsae Championship organized by DG Taekwondo Philippines and Ong Taekwondo US.
Sanjeev Nepali beat Clive Collado of the US to earn the gold for the 30-40 age group at Poomsae. Sanjeev scored 5.433 while Clive hit 4.483.
Similarly, Amgain beat Shannon Masden from the United States, scoring 5.5000-5.400 to clinch the gold medal for the women 18-30 years, age group. Likewise, Darnal beat Tim Omira of the US with the scoring 5.067 against 5.000 for the male category of 40-50 years age group.
Players from the US, Philippines, Australia, Singapore, Slovenia and Indonesia participated in the competition.
