Buddha Air has started regional flights to connect Pokhara by air from different states. Earlier, the company had extended direct flights to Pokhara from Bhairahawa, Bharatpur (Chitwan) and a few weeks ago, Nepalgunj as well.
The company has made public the schedule of direct flights from Simara targeting tourists from Birgunj, an important business center of the country and the Indian border area.
They will fly three days a week, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight from Pokhara to Simara is scheduled at 12:20 and from Simara to Pokhara at 13:15. The company is confident that the people of both cities will benefit from the flight.
Rupesh Joshi, marketing director of Buddha Air, said that the provincial flights will also increase the activities in the tourist destinations of both the places. As Birgunj is the largest industrial corridor in the country, it is expected to help in business activities.
Residents of Simara, Birgunj will also be able to enjoy the lakes and mountain ranges of Pokhara. The flight will also attract tourists from Patna, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and other Indian cities near Birgunj, Buddha Air said in a statement.
Buddha Air's sister company Buddha Holidays has brought attractive holiday packages for both these destinations. The Simara-Pokhara package includes a two-night, three-day package at Rs. Buddha Air has 10 ATR-72 aircraft, three ATR-42 aircraft and two craft aircraft.
