Nepal Tourism Board is going to provide short term employment to women working in the tourism sector. It is said that this will help in their livelihood after COVID-19 pandemic and also the revival of tourism sector.
Under the program carried out by the board in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program, women tourism workers will have to carry out cleaning of tourist area in the valley, maintenance of bridges, footpaths and sidewalks. Women tourism entrepreneurs and workers who want to participate must submit their application, a copy of the citizenship certificate, a copy of the identity card of the tourist worker and the bank account number to the board.
The deadline for submitting applicationsstarts from November 25 till December 15. The board has stated that the workers will get Rs 1000 every day from the employment program which will be provided to 100 people.
