Electricity Tariffs

Nepali authorities are encouraging consumption of more power by cutting electricity tariffs by 2.84 percent on average, as the South Asian country is generating a surplus of hydropower.

The solar-powered electricity produced from a Solar Farm Pvt Ltd at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 in Tanahu district was connected to the national grid.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal, has pointed out the need of reducing electricity tariff.
