Switzerland’s financial markets authority said on Thursday it is looking into possible penalties against Credit Suisse after the top-drawer bank announced 'significant losses' linked to a US-based hedge fund.
Swiss bank Credit Suisse said Monday it may have suffered a 'highly significant' loss from a default by a US-based hedge fund on margin calls that it and other banks made last week.
