HM Khand, Minister Sharma, Minister Badu have called for the government's intervention saying that the current monetary policy and the interest rates set by banks would invite serious problems to the country's economy.

Newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.

Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has directed the administration to use helicopters for speeding up rescue works in the floods and inundations caused by incessant rains in various parts of the Dang district.
