Monsoon in Nepal

As many as 111 people have so far lost their lives in the rain-induced incidents of floods, landslides, and inundation.

Torrential rain has been expected at some places on Wednesday due to the impact of monsoon wind.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast rain in most of the places of the country in the next three days due to the influence of the monsoon wind.

As many as 59 persons have lost their lives in floods, landslides and inundation triggered by torrential rains in various parts of the country.

The monsoon has badly affected 26 districts including Sindhupalchowk and Manang since the first week of June.

At least 17 people have lost their lives in different natural disasters that occurred across the country in a week.

The monsoon that entered the country on June 11 this year has already begun taking a toll on the people's lives and properties, in just a week.

Due to the low pressure that has developed in and around the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon has entered Nepal today.
