Sisdol landfill site

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has a plan to bring the new under-construction landfill site at Bancharedanda in use after Dashain and Tihar festival.

Although garbage collection had resumed in Kathmandu for over some days, the major thoroughfares of the Valley are still littered with solid waste.

The KMC has stated that all the garbage in Kathmandu Valley will be cleared within a week.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to provide Rs 60 million in compensation to the affected locals at Sisdol landfill site.
