KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the latest foreign currency exchange rates for today (Tuesday).
The US dollar has hit its highest value ever today. Additionally, the prices of several other foreign currencies, including the Australian dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, have also risen. However, currencies like the Euro and British Pound have seen a decline in value.
According to the rates issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is 135 rupees 90 paisa, while the selling rate is 136 rupees 50 paisa. This is the highest exchange rate the US dollar has ever reached.
Last Friday (Push 5), the buying rate for one US dollar was slightly lower at 135 rupees 83 paisa, and the selling rate was 136 rupees 42 paisa.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one US dollar was 135 rupees 73 paisa, with the selling rate at 136 rupees 33 paisa.
The US dollar also set a record high on Wednesday and Thursday of last week.
For other currencies, the buying rate for one Euro today is 141 rupees 32 paisa, and the selling rate is 141 rupees 94 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 141 rupees 57 paisa, and the selling rate was 142 rupees 19 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate for one Pound Sterling today is 170 rupees 44 paisa, and the selling rate is 171 rupees 19 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 170 rupees 62 paisa, with the selling rate at 171 rupees 37 paisa.
The buying rate for one Australian Dollar today is 84 rupees 95 paisa, and the selling rate is 85 rupees 33 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 84 rupees 84 paisa, with the selling rate at 85 rupees 21 paisa.
For the Kuwaiti Dinar, the buying rate today is 441 rupees 02 paisa, and the selling rate is 442 rupees 97 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 440 rupees 61 paisa, and the selling rate was 442 rupees 56 paisa.
Similarly, for the Bahraini Dinar, the buying rate today is 360 rupees 19 paisa, and the selling rate is 361 rupees 78 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate was 360 rupees 03 paisa, with the selling rate at 361 rupees 62 paisa.
