IMF projects economic growth rate of 4.1 percent

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has also made public its economic growth projections in line with the projections of multinational bodies

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Nepal's economic growth rate in 2022 will be 4.1 percent. Earlier, the World Bank had projected a growth rate of 3.7 percent.

This year, the government aims to achieve an average economic growth rate of 7 percent through the budget. 

According to the IMF, developing countries in the Asian region will maintain an average economic growth rate of 5.4 percent.

Developed countries in Asia will maintain 2.7 percent economic growth. Asia as a whole will have an economic growth rate of 4.9 percent. In the South Asian region, India will achieve 8.2 percent, Bangladesh 6.4 percent and Sri Lanka 2.6 percent.
