KAHTMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended the last trading day of the year with a decline of 8.62 points, or 0.32%, settling at 2,662.08. This follows a 5.57-point drop recorded in the previous trading session.
The index opened at 2,673.01, touched an intraday high of 2,676.70, and dipped to a low of 2,657.32.
Overall trading turnover reached Rs. 6.28 billion, with 13,189,328 shares changing hands across 322 companies in 54,361 transactions.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company (CHDC) topped the turnover list, posting trades worth Rs. 45.32 crore and closing at Rs. 2,557 per share.
The top gainers of the session included 12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC).
