KATHMANDU: The stock market closed down by 31.43 points on Thursday. The NEPSE index closed down by 1.19 percent at 2,596.82 points. Although the NEPSE index fell today, the trading volume increased slightly.
On Wednesday, shares worth 4.27 billion were traded, while on Thursday, 4.76 billion were traded. There was an increase of 490 million in the trading volume compared to the previous day. Today, 9,832,308 shares of 310 securities were bought and sold.
On Thursday, the share prices of 29 companies increased while those of 211 decreased. The prices of three companies remained stable. Today, shares worth 4.76 billion rupees were bought and sold.
