KATHMANDU: Members of the Bhutanese royal family have arrived in Kathmandu for a private visit. They arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday and are scheduled to perform puja at the White Monastery on Saturday.
The team of Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck's in-laws has arrived three weeks after his return to Kathmandu.
Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck had arrived in Kathmandu on 21 Mangsir for a private visit. He returned home the same day after offering prayers at Swayambhu and Boudhanath.
After his return, a team of 13 people, including his in-laws and the Home Minister, arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday, a source said. 'Their visit is purely private,' a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. 'Since it is an informal visit, normal skirting arrangements have been made along the route of the trip.'
The Bhutanese team is staying at the Soaltee, Hyatt and Yak & Yeti hotels.
