Bir Hospital, the oldest and largest hospital in the country, is in need of repairment. As it is reported that various equipment's have been broken which is causing a lot of problems treating patients.

The 16-slice CT scan machine, pulmonary fused machine and gastro endoscopy machine in the hospital have deteriorated and has become useless. The Fibro scan machine worth Rs 25.3 million provided to the Hospital by an NGO last year has not been connected, yet.

Similarly, the medical equipment at the hospital is not in good condition and the patients have to wait for a long time for normal treatment.

While the Hospital has been providing simple to complex treatment, it needs to focus on improving the quality of service delivery.
