A police constable working at the residence of former Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Kamal Singh Bam, was found dead outside his room.
The deceased has been identified as Police Constable Basudev Dhamala.
Dhamala who had been working at former AIG's residence at Greenhill City in Mulpani, Kageshwori Manahara Municipality committed suicide by hanging himself at around 6:30 am today, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nabin Karki at Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha told Nepalnews.
Constable Dhamala who was appointed to duty at National Police Training Academy had been working at Bam's residence for four years, DSP Karki said. He said the preliminary investigation pointed that Dhamal appeared frustrated for the past few days.
However, the family members of the deceased are said to be demanding a detailed investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, investigation into the incident is underway said police.
