The Human Rights and Peace Society has protested against the recruitment of Nepalis into the Russian army and their use in war. In a demonstration held in front of the Russian Embassy in Kathmandu, Russia has been requested to immediately stop the recruitment of Nepalis into the Russian army and use them in the war with Ukraine and to return the Nepalis who are being used in the war safely to Nepal without any conditions.
After the demonstration, a memorandum written to Russian President Vladimir Putin was handed over to the official of the Russian Embassy in Nepal. In the memorandum, Russia has been requested to immediately stop the recruitment of Nepalis into the Russian army and use them in the war with Ukraine and to return the Nepalis who are being used in the war to Nepal safely without any conditions.
