The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed an agreement with Kathmandu Metropolis Ward No. 17 to build a COVID-19 isolation and primary health check-up centre at Gorkha Hospital in Chhetrapati.
The pact was signed today by FNCCI President Shekhar Golchha and Ward Chairperson Navin Manadhar. Senior Vice-president of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal was also present during the signing ceremony.
As per a statement released by FNCCI, the isolation centre will come into operation from Sunday and will have 50 beds initially. The number of beds will gradually be increased to 100, FNCCI said.
The isolation centre will cater to those patients infected with the coronavirus who do not have the needed medical resources to stay in isolation in their residence. Patients will be provided with medicines and food in the isolation under the supervision of health officials.
