The House of Representatives (HoR)'s meeting on Sunday passed a condolence motion over the demise of Constituent Assembly member Ganesh Prasad Bimali.
The motion presented by Speaker Devraj Ghimire was passed by the session unanimously. The HoR also observed a minute of silence on the passing away of Bimali and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Bimali was elected to the Constituent Assembly representing the Nepali Congress in 2070 BS and contributed significantly to the promulgation of the constitution.
Bimali died on March 21 at the age of 74. He was known as a kind and simple person who actively contributed to various democratic movements.
The HoR shall meet again at 1:00 pm on March 29.
